The laws on identification cards have references to several federal laws that pertain to heightened security standards for identification cards. We've included links below so that as you read through the NH statute, you can find the reference easily.

RSA 260 refers to Public Law 109-13, the Real ID Act of 2005, and the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI) which is a program to implement a requirement was mandated by the Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act (Public Law 108-458). 108 and 109 refer to the 108th and 109th Congress. The second number is the number of the law.
