The New Hampshire Law Library is participating in the Westlaw Patron Access Remote Pilot program with Thomson Reuters to allow non-attorneys or attorneys who are not working on behalf of a client to have remote access to Westlaw, a premier legal research database. We have two Westlaw seats, which allows for two concurrent research sessions. If the maximum number of concurrent sessions has been reached, you will see a notice that you cannot obtain access at this time and to try again later.
Getting Started - Instructions:
For access, click on the Westlaw Patron Remote for Pro Se/Non-Attorneys link found above. You must complete a OnePass
registration with Thomson Reuters/Westlaw and to validate your email address before you can access Westlaw. To do this, click on the “Create OnePass Profile” link at the bottom of the form that appears (see screenshot). Follow the on-screen instructions to fill in your email address, personal information, and create a username, password, and security information.
Check your email (including your SPAM/JUNK folders) for a OnePass Verification message from west.onepass@thomsonreuters.com.
Note: Be sure to use an email address that you have never used with Westlaw or OnePass before. Otherwise, OnePass will not recognize you as a new user.
To access Westlaw Patron Access Remote again, you must use the link on the library's website and enter your OnePass username and password. If you go directly to Westlaw to log in, it will not let you log in.
Limitations on Usage: All Westlaw content is limited by copyright laws. In addition, there is a download/email limit of 20 documents per session. There is also a total daily download limit of 150 for both seats combined. Once the session or daily download limit is reached, you will be blocked from downloading/emailing content. At that point, the only option will be to print.
Sign off Instructions: To end your research session, it is important to click “Sign Off”. This will ensure that the seat becomes available immediately for the next patron. If the patron closes the Internet browser window rather than clicking Sign Off, it will take 7 to 10 minutes for this seat to reset and become available for the next patron.

In addition to our main Concord location, the New Hampshire Law Library is partnering with public libraries around the state to provide access to Westlaw and small collections of legal titles such as the New Hampshire Practice Series and the New Hampshire Revised Statutes Annotated. Partnerships like these help the Law Library put legal resources into trusted community centers and expand public access to reliable and accurate legal information. Each library will have a different collection of print resources depending upon shelf space, but all of our partners will have access to Westlaw.
The Law Library is located inside the Supreme Court Building at One Charles Doe Drive, Concord, New Hampshire. We offer free access to Westlaw, Lexis Advance, Bloomberg Law, NCLC Digital Library, and HeinOnline. 
Note: There is no street sign for the Library. Follow the signs for the Supreme Court.

Littleton Public Library is located at 92 Main Street, Littleton, New Hampshire. Littleton is one of New Hampshire's Carnegie libraries, designed by architect Robert Coit in the Classical Revival style and opened in 1906. Littleton offers Westlaw on a single dedicated terminal tucked away in the library's quiet and private New Hampshire History room.

Derry Public Library is located at 64 E Broadway in Derry. Researchers can ask at the Reference Desk to use the "Westlaw laptop" and sit anywhere in the library's sunny and comfortable interior.

Portsmouth Public Library is located at 175 Parrott Avenue in Portsmouth, NH. The Portsmouth Public Library is the thriving heart of the Portsmouth community, supporting a resilient, inclusive city whose citizens are free to pursue growth and knowledge. Now, the Portsmouth community can pursue legal knowledge at the library using the Westlaw legal research platform. 
To access the Westlaw computer, check in at the Reference Desk on the second floor. You may use your Portsmouth Library Card or take a guest pass from the desk. You will have unlimited time on the dedicated public computer. No appointments are needed: first come, first served.

Dover Public Library is located at 73 Locust Street in Dover, New Hampshire. The Dover Public Library supports lifelong engagement in reading, discovering, learning, and creating, and now supports legal research for attorneys and the public. 
No need for a library card, just ask at the desk for the Westlaw laptop. Staff will ask you for a license (or something similar) to hold there while you use the laptop. You don't need an appointment: first come, first served.
