The Attorney General's Memorandum on New Hampshire's Right-to-Know law comes to nearly 140 pages which may be a bit overwhelming, but we recommend that you start your research there. The Memorandum gives a full discussion of New Hampshire’s Right-to-Know law including entities that are and are not subject to the law, meetings, government records, remedies, and court records.  It also includes an Index to the information in the memorandum, a list of statutes and court cases mentioned in the memorandum, and many appendices with helpful and practical information.

Before making a Right-to-Know request, take the time to do a little research by studying the website of the government entity. The information you're looking for may be right there on the website. There should also be information on how to make a right-to-know request. Many websites have forms that will help guide you through the process.
