HB 684 2019, An Act relative to mediation of rent increases in manufactured housing parks, allows households in a manufactured housing park to petition for mediation of an arbitrary or unreasonable rent increase, with the mediator paid for by the park owner. This bill also requires that manufactured housing park tenants be provided with notice of opportunity for mediation concerning rent increases. HB 684 has passed the House and has been reported out of the Senate Committee as "ought to pass." The bill's text is here and the bill's docket is here.
